About

Clubs WA is the not-for-profit governing body that represents the interests of all licensed community clubs in Western Australia. With majority support from those clubs we provide a focal point for clubs to establish a sense of common purpose on key issues and the opportunity for the club movement in WA to work together to meet the challenges and opportunities that the future holds.

Our aim is to be a strong but reasoned advocate of club interests and to realise a dynamic and prosperous club sector that enhances the quality of life of club members and the Western Australian community generally. We are recognised by the State and Federal Government and its agencies as the leader of the club movement in Western Australia. In this capacity we make submissions and representations to the Government and its agencies on all issues that affect the club movement, and we maintain close liaison with the Government and with members of the Parliament to ensure that the interests of clubs are represented and protected.

We are the public voice of the club movement - a key role of which is to interact with the media (press, radio and TV) and present a good public image of clubs and the club movement. We also provide advice and assistance to clubs on matters affecting club administration. Through arrangements with affiliates and corporate partners, members are able to access expert advice on legal issues, accounting, business planning, marketing and promotion, and industrial relations.

Clubs WA, with the other states clubs bodies, forms the national club advocate Clubs Australia & New Zealand (CANZ). We regularly produce information for clubs in the form of general e-club updates on operational issues and the monthly "Service Bulletin". Clubs WA conducts the annual Club Vision Seminar, Awards for Excellence, Annual General Meeting and President's Lunch/Charity Auction. These events expose clubs to the current thinking and issues in the environment in which they operate, as well as an opportunity to network with stakeholders.
