Since 2001, Clubs WA has run the Ace of Clubs group buying scheme through wholesaler Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) and its subsidiary Harbottle On-Premise but we have become disenchanted with their staid price catalogue and reports of member’s discontent over recent times and have taken the following action:
- Clubs WA approached three separate wholesalers to determine the best deal available for clubs.
- The best pricing and delivery outcome for clubs was presented by wholesaler HLW.
- ALM was not prepared to reduce overall pricing for the benefit of Clubs WA members.
- ALM was not prepared to offer pricing terms to clubs that would pass on full supplier discounts gained by Ace of Clubs on your behalf.
- Ace of Clubs has now reached cheaper liquor purchasing terms with HLW.
Ace of Clubs currently generates significant purchases each month through club liquor purchases. - This has now generated terrific support offers from key liquor suppliers.
- Unfortunately through the Harbottle On-Premise processes some of these special prices gained for clubs has been eroded.
Clubs WA treats loyalty to its industry associates very seriously as do clubs and we have only taken the move to a new partner for Ace of Clubs as being essential for better outcomes. Accordingly, all Ace of Clubs members along with those also seeking better pricing for alcohol purchases will need to have or open an account with our new preferred supplier, HLW. HLW is a well established wholesaler who currently services the needs of a number of larger clubs in Western Australia.
