Clubs across Western Australia will be hosting ANZAC Day events to pay their respects to those who landed on Gallipoli shores in 1915.
Over 30 dedicated RSL and Ex-Servicemen clubs will be holding events to commemorate the ANZACs this Saturday.
Executive Director of Clubs WA, Peter Seaman said that dedicated Clubs like RSL’s are the bond that will ensure future generations keep the ANZAC day tradition alive.
“Clubs WA encourages those club members and the general public not able to attend services to lay a wreath at their local RSL club on Saturday in respect to the ANZACs,” Mr. Seaman said.
Regional clubs including the Boulder Ex-Servicemens Memorial Club will be expecting over 250 people at their Dawn Service and March on Saturday. This special event will reinforce the clubs recent win of the ‘Spirit of the Outback’ award at the Clubs WA Awards for Excellence.
Clubs WA continues its support of the ‘Kokoda Youth Leadership Challenge’ in recognition of the sacrifice made by our ANZACs.
