Harm Minimisation
One of the primary objects under section 5(1) of the Liquor Control Act 1988 ('the Act') is -
"to minimise harm or ill health caused to people, or any group of people, due to the use of liquor"
Through the introduction of A Policy of the Director of Liquor Licensing on 28 August 2000, requiring licensees to address the principles of harm minimisation, all applicants must lodge a copy of the premises' House Management Policy, Code of Conduct, and Management Plan.
It is a condition of licence that the House Management Policy and the Code of Conduct are displayed in a prominent position on the licensed premises.
All three documents must also be made available at the licensed premises to an authorised officer if requested to do so.
Let us prepare these documents for you, please contact Clubs WA for further information.
