On Wednesday, 18 November we held our annual Club Industry Forum & Trade Expo in conjunction with National Road Safety Week at Hillarys Yacht Club. We were joined by our amazing sponsors, member clubs as well as some special guests. The day started with an insightful workshop presented by APM in tandem with NDIS partners. The audience gained valuable knowledge about how to welcome a person living with a disability into your club or group.
Just downstairs, members of Clubs WA were treated to exclusive offers from our partners. The mood was vibrant as a delicious morning tea was presented to patrons. Many guests entered into the door prize competition which had some very enticing gifts up for grabs for the winners. Thank you to our partners for your thoughtful setups – we loved having you there.
The Clubs WA Industry Forum was a huge success, thanks to our special guest speakers and panelists. It was an informative and engaging afternoon for club members, exhibitors and others. The forum started off with an insightful presentation by Road Safety Commissioner, Adrian Warner. This was followed by an educative presentation on liquor licensing and compliance by Nicola Perry from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. The final guest, Director in Strategic Policy from Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Brooke Fowles gave an insight on job creations and tourism during COVID-19 recovery and beyond in Western Australia.
A big THANK YOU to our club gurus, Jessica Patterson from Lavan, Daniel Papaphotis from Francis A Jones and Linda Soerianto from Clubs WA who had answers to all of your burning questions throughout the year on Compliance, Finance and Workplace Relations.
Last but not least, THANK YOU to all our clubs and associations (far and wide) who attended and supported our event. We hope to see you again soon.
