As Western Australia’s leading hazard management agency, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) (formerly the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of WA) performs a critical role coordinating emergency services for a range of natural disasters and emergency incidents threatening life and property.
Supported by an extensive network of over 29,000 volunteers and 1100 career firefighters DFES works together with the community and government to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from a diverse range of emergencies.
Operating 24 hours a day, every day of the year, DFES provides emergency services across our vast state of 2.5 million square kilometres on land, by sea and air.
Disaster Relief Australia
Disaster Relief Australia is an international disaster response nonprofit that unites the skills and experiences of Australian Defence Force veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams around the globe.
When disaster strikes, Disaster Relief Australia work with or alongside local agencies and governments to quickly respond to large-scale disasters to provide relief to communities in need.

Paraplegic Benefit Fund (PBF Australia)
PBF Australia is a National charity dedicated to easing the impact and reducing the incidence of spinal cord injury. Founded in 1984 by world renowned spinal surgeon, the late Sir George Bedbrook, membership of PBF Australia offers crucial financial protection in the event of a permanent traumatic spinal cord injury.
As a PBF member you will be eligible to claim a $250,000 Member Benefit Payment should you incur a traumatic spinal cord injury resulting in permanent quadriplegia or paraplegia*.
