Location: Yanchep Sports and Social Club
Hours: Fridays (5pm-8pm, a la carte service) and Saturdays (Event-Based)
Average Weekly Hours: 15 hours
About Us:
Yanchep Sports and Social Club is a vibrant community hub, hosting a variety of events and providing a welcoming environment for our members. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef/Cook to manage our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Role Overview:
As our Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for running the kitchen independently during our Friday night a la carte dinner service and catering for events on Saturdays. You will work efficiently to prepare high-quality meals for up to 150 people each Friday, and oversee the kitchen operations for various events on Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Serve Meals: Deliver a la carte dinners from 5pm to 8pm every Friday and cater for events on Saturdays.
- Stock Management: Handle stock rotation, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- Menu Design: Develop creative and appealing menus that align with the club’s standards and seasonal availability.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to meet high standards of hygiene.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with a young team and support volunteers as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in a la carte cooking and event catering.
- Certifications: Valid Food Hygiene Certificate and Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and efficiently, excellent time management, and a keen eye for detail in both cooking and kitchen cleanliness.
