Perth Racing, the trading name of the Western Australian Turf Club, is WA’s premier thoroughbred racing club, operating Ascot and Belmont Park racecourses. With up to 100 race meetings each year, including headline events like the Melbourne Cup Day at Ascot, Perth Cup, The Quokka, and The Pinnacles series, the club is a major player in racing, entertainment and events.

They are seeking a dynamic Marketing, Communications and Community Engagement Manager to lead strategic campaigns, manage public relations, grow community connections, and enhance raceday experiences.

The Role

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans with the GM Marketing and Communications
  • Manage a promotional calendar across signage, web and social media
  • Oversee agency and supplier relationships
  • Track performance and manage budgets
  • Coordinate community engagement and partnership development
  • Use project management tools (e.g. Monday.com) for planning and team coordination

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, events or similar (desirable)
  • Demonstrate strong marketing and brand management knowledge
  • Have a proven record in partnerships and community development
  • Possess corporate communications/media relations expertise
  • Be skilled in project management and team leadership
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships
  • Leverage digital and social media to drive engagement
  • Have experience in sectors like tourism, hospitality, retail, entertainment or events
  • Be proficient in data analytics and marketing tools including CMS, Adobe Creative Suite, and HubSpot
  • Manage comprehensive budgets effectively
