About the Role 
We are looking for an extraordinary, enthusiastic and highly motivated Operations Manager that is inspired to create a unique and memorable guest experience. The position will suit someone who is currently looking to develop their leadership skills & prides in delivering superior customer service at all times. Reporting to the PRACC Board, you will be responsible for leading the PRACC team and ensuring effective, strategic and operational support in consultation with the PRACC Board.

Renumeration will be based on applicant’s experience

Responsibilities included:

  • Oversee the PRACC operational team, manage the PRACC in a manner which provides maximum benefit for our members and facility users.
  • Provide a safe, efficient and effective environment for staff to operate in, including the management of staff.
  • Liaise with the community and key stakeholders including the PRACC Board to identify and initiate, and/or conduct, programs/activities within the venue.
  • Promote the venue to outside bodies including corporate and community groups, to market to facility for hosting regional events, training courses, conferences, corporate days etc, with the aim of increasing the utilisation of the centre and promotion of Pingelly.
  • Oversee event management
  • Attend and provide monthly reports to the PRACC Board
  • Assist with the preparation of an annual budget, and monitor the centres finances in conjunction with the treasurer. Provide monthly financial reports to the PRACC Board
  • Manage the Occupational Health & Safety at the Centre including training and ensuring all staff hold the acceptable OHS requirements
  • Conduct sound staff management including recruitment, supervision and training
  • Roster staff according to customer and event demand, within the agreed budget

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven ability to lead, plan and deliver events in a collaborative and professional way within a large organisation
  •  Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key and senior stakeholders across multiple parts of an organisation to deliver an outcome
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, to work both autonomously and as part of a team as well as developed time and personal management skills
  • Experience working in hospitality and events management
  • Experience in the management of recreation facilities
  • Financial management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Commitment to a high standard of service and customer focus
  • Relevant qualifications, or working towards qualifications, including holding an Approved Managers Card and a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Hold a current “C” Class Motor Driver’s License
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check
  • Hold a current St John’s First Aid certificate

This PRACC is a facility available to continually engage local and regional communities in sport, recreation, cultural and community activities, thereby increasing the regional economy by drawing in players, sponsors, events and spectators.
