Perth Racing is the premier thoroughbred racing club in Western Australia, operating both Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourses. With over 160 years of history, the club is a key player in WA’s racing, entertainment and events scene, staging approximately 100 race meetings each year. Perth Racing is seeking a Rostering Officer to join their team, supporting a large seasonal casual staff pool across various departments.

The Role

  • Work as part of a small team to roster casual staff for Food & Beverage, Racecourse, and Facilities departments

  • Communicate shift times and updates via the Humanforce system

  • Respond to staff queries related to availability, shift changes, and general rostering

  • Maintain records of staff certifications and licences

  • Process casual applications and onboard new employees using online platforms

  • Assist in organising recruitment and induction events

  • Saturday work required during peak racing season (October–December)

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Manage time effectively and handle competing priorities with resilience

  • Build rapport and offer support across various teams

  • Have rostering experience; knowledge of Humanforce is an advantage

  • Possess experience in office or recruitment administration

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Perform fast, accurate data entry with attention to detail
