Thornlie Bowling Club, located in the suburb of Thornlie in Perth, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to support the club’s financial operations. This part-time role offers $35 per hour and involves a broad range of accounting and administrative responsibilities within a community-oriented environment.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing supplier invoices and managing payment approvals

  • Managing accounts receivable, issuing invoices, and following up payments

  • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with award conditions

  • Preparing monthly and annual financial reports

  • Performing reconciliations and managing BAS, GST, PAYG, and superannuation

  • Overseeing MYOB Teams app, POS system, and membership onboarding

  • Supporting audits and maintaining financial compliance and records

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Have proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of MYOB, Excel, and accounting principles

  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Understand payroll legislation and compliance requirements

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities
