The Frankland River District Country Club (FDCC) is located in the agricultural town of Frankland River, part of Western Australia’s beautiful Great Southern Region, 3.5 hours south of Perth. The club provides bar services, meals, functions, and lawn bowls to members and guests from Tuesday to Saturday. FDCC is currently seeking a passionate and experienced full time Bar Manager. A competitive hourly rate of $30–$40 is offered, depending on qualifications. Subsidised housing in a newly renovated home is also included if required.

The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar from Tuesday to Saturday, 5:00pm to close

  • Check customer identification and membership status

  • Maintain stock levels and handle ordering

  • Organise till and ATM float; conduct weekly banking and report to the FDCC Treasurer

  • Ensure adequate bar staffing during peak times

  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations; uphold cleanliness standards

  • Operate POS systems and keep pricing and product details up to date

  • Assist with planning special events in coordination with kitchen staff and the committee

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a current RSA and WA Approved Manager Certification (or be willing to obtain)

  • Have experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar hospitality role

  • Demonstrate multitasking abilities in busy environments

  • Show strong leadership and team motivation skills

  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Be detail-oriented with sound organisational and problem-solving capabilities

  • Be proficient with POS systems for order and payment processing

  • Be willing to work during special events as required

Additional Info

  • Reports directly to the FDCC Management Committee

  • A driver’s licence and own vehicle are required

  • The role involves close collaboration with kitchen staff and the management committee to ensure a welcoming, high-quality service environment
