Clubs WA is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of over 500 clubs and associations in Western Australia.

We are seeking an Events Officer to work an average of 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours and location available for the successful candidate.

Position Summary

  • To maintain the integrity of Clubs WA and its objectives through ensuring effective organisation of the association and its events program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management and execution of events from concepts to delivery:
    • Events include but are not limited to: Chefs Competition; Awards for Excellence; Industry Forum and Trade Expo; Annual General Meeting; regional meetings and workshops.
    • Planning and execution of events which include but not limited to: Theming and decorations; running sheets; scripts; seating allocations; floor plans and more.
    • Identifying and managing VIPs and guest lists of all events.
    • Providing assistance with hosting VIP and corporate guests at all events.
  • Identifying and implementing processes to improve the delivery of events and consistently working towards delivery of quality events.
  • Communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Management of events promotion through Clubs WA social media, website, electronic communications and newsletters.
  • Reporting to Board on Clubs WA events.
  • Budget preparation for events for Board approval.

Attributes

  • Certification, degree or relevant industry experience in Public Relations/Marketing/Communication or Events
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Highly proficient in Desktop Publishing Systems (we currently use Adobe InDesign) or willingness to learn at Clubs WA expense
  • Exceptional ability to establish and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation, including highly influential and prominent individuals.
