The Role

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain compliance with OH&S and health standards

  • Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders

  • Ensure correct storage and handling of food items

  • Minimise waste and control food costs

  • Lead and inspire kitchen staff to consistently deliver quality meals

  • Train new staff members

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organised kitchen

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a chef in a busy restaurant

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Demonstrate strong cooking techniques and kitchen operations knowledge

  • Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Work effectively under pressure and within a team

  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding service
