The University Club of Western Australia is located on the banks of the Swan River within the heritage-listed grounds of The University of Western Australia in Crawley. With over 5000 members, the Club offers premium facilities including a fine dining restaurant, a casual dining café, and 16 private function rooms.
The Club is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of both the restaurant and café. This role is responsible for maintaining high service standards, staff training, duty allocation, and managing beverage and labour costs. The position includes managing events and services for up to 300 guests in the café, and dining experiences for up to 118 guests in the restaurant.
The Role
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and café
- Ensure high standards of service and presentation
- Allocate duties and supervise team members
- Manage beverage and labour costs
- Deliver training and leadership to hospitality staff
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Have experience managing or supervising in a high-quality a la carte restaurant
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Possess sound knowledge of food, wine, and service standards
- Exhibit excellent communication and personal presentation
- Work independently and show initiative
- Be available to work a flexible roster from Monday to Saturday, including evenings
- Hold a current Approved Managers Card
